So another Smackdown has passed and was it a good one? Well that's what I'm going to talk about.
The main event was previously announced and it would be a tag team match combining the team of Randy Orton and Sheamus once more to take on Big Show and Mark Henry.
This weeks edition opened with a Fandango promo. Fandango has certainly taken the world by by storm with his theme music. Not bad for a guy who seemingly had little potential right? While I thought that promo was nothing more than decent, the crowd certainly liked it and they certainly wanted to Fandango. The humorous Santino Marella would eventually interrupt Fandango which would lead to a match between the two, there's nothing to say about this match really, besides it was a squash match unsurprisingly won by Fandango.
Next up would be in my opinion the match of the night which was a Champion vs Champion match between the Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett and the new United States Champion Kofi Kingston. It's been a fantastic few weeks for Kingston, unfortunately I can't say the same for Barrett.
Del Rio and Swagger also had a great back and forth match, Del Rio eventually scored the pin. While this was a match I particularly enjoyed, it's worth noting that the new World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler was a no show.
There we're quite a few backstage segments but none that really stand out that I can remember. Teddy long teasing a heel turn again was a short but effective one and Sheamus laying waste to Henry backstage was a change, Henry has been attacking Sheamus quite frequently recently.
The Great Khali, Hornswaggle and Natalya teamed up to beat Primo, Epico and Rosa in a pointless match, this match doesn't develop any story lines.
Now onto the main event. This match was quite impresive considering it was featuring two giants and while I find the feud of Orton and Show to be boring, I am enjoying Sheamus and Henry so far. Big Show would score the pinfall on Smackdown to close the show.
While this weeks Smackdown had some good matches, I thought it lacked with promos and segments but the story line development was decent. It's also worth noting once more that "The Show Off" wasn't there.
