Predicted (Dream) Wrestlemania XXX Card

Okay, so Wrestlemania 29 has barely finished, but like any WWE fan, the focus is always on the next show, and this is the card I'd love to see and why.

United States Title - Jack Swagger (c) vs. Seth Rollins
I think Swagger's shelf life at the top (with or without Zeb Colter) is extremely minimal, sure enough he's very good in the ring, but had absolute zero charisma, therefore I can't see him being at the top by next Wrestlemania, his current gimmick would fit well, however, with the US Title, and I think the two contrasting styles of Rollins and Swagger would make for an interesting match.

Big Show vs Mark Henry
I know, I know, sounds awful on the surface, but this match could prove a good purpose on the big stage. Both Show and Henry are established 'big men' of the WWE, who have been with the company for what seems like forever, and are two men who are reaching the end of their careers. What better time for them both to go out than with one final face-to-face at The Show of Shows? They could go into their final match with the premise that they both say it will be their final match, but it will be what big man leaves as top dog, and would be a fitting end to the legacy they'd both leave behind.

IC Title - Fandango (c) vs Antonio Cesaro
A lot of people (including me) have had their stab at Fandango, his lousy character, overdone angle and perhaps below par ring abilities. However, he's somehow getting over, slowly but surely, I can't help but think facing Jericho at WM 29 helped his rep, but this can only help him, because the more over he becomes the more opportunities will come his way, I think it'll start with an IC title run later this year, running into Wrestlemania and an interesting meeting with his polar opposite Cesaro, the supposedly straight laced, not so fun loving Cesaro would portray the heel, and I can see Fandango becoming a face before long, would make for an interesting match.

Triple H vs Shawn Michaels - One Last Time
I saw this match suggested on another site, and just think about it, two men who made the attitude era, sculpted the company to what it is today, made a legendary team, and had a legendary rivalry, having their last match at the biggest event the company has even put on. Sure, Michaels is happily retired, but I'm sure one call from his old buddy Hunter and we'd be on for a match that could potentially steal the show, and would also be a good match for HHH to retire on, as they both leave the arena together leaving a lasting Wrestlemania image.

Undertaker vs Sting - First Time Ever for the Streak
My mouth is literally watering at the prospect. It'll probably never happen, but can you imagine? The hype surrounding the match and hell, the match itself, would be worth the admission fee, these two have never faced each other, so what a time for your first meeting, the biggest show in WWE history. This would also probably be Undertaker's last match as well, and who better to go out against?

World Heavyweight Championship Dolph Ziggler vs Chris Jericho - Title vs Career
This was the only rematch we really wanted at this years 'Mania, and we were robbed of it, hopefully they can make up for it next year, with not only a match for the title, but for the storied career of Jericho, a perfect way to put over Ziggler as the next big thing in WWE, and the end of another career at Wrestlemania, the correct end (noticing a trend yet?).

WWE Title - John Cena (c) vs Dean Ambrose
This match pretty much writes itself, as would a fued between the two, because their two whose chemistry is made for each other, Ambrose is without a doubt the future of the company, and the current face of the company in a significant 'passing of the torch' event for the WWE, setting Ambrose up for the great career he's destined to have, and the passing of Cena's time on top, and his new label as seasoned vet.

CM Punk vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin - No DQ match
But two combustible elements together, and you get an explosion, that's exactly what you'd get with Punk vs SCSA, as their exact polar opposites, and each others dream current opponent, which means they'd put on the best show possible at the big show, I can't wait already.

The Rock vs Brock Lesnar
These two have a score to settle from Summerslam 2002, which went nowhere after that match, which The Rock lost cleanly. I'm not for The Rock headlining a thrid 'Mania in a row, but this match could deliver, especially since Lesnar is involved, many people would suggest a No DQ match, but I think Lesnar has more to offer past swinging chairs and steel steps.

And that's it, you may have noted the theme of retirement, that's because I think the WWE could use The 30th anniversary to usher in the new era, and all but push out the old, and that, dear readers, is the way forward.

  1. A solid WM card, I would love to see it come to fruition. My only concern is Wade Barrett, Daniel Bryan, Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow not featured. However I do love the idea of having a theme for the 30th anniversary. I particularly love Dean Ambrose challenging Cena for the WWE Championship.
